I've been exploring Blender in tandem with a motion capture software to bring my real life dancing into the virtual body of an avatar. Here I've brought the avatar into my virtual world and given him a double that seems to have inexplicably exploded into many bits (his tiny fingers are strewn around like confetti!). In this work I am interested in replication and doubling and the generation loss implicit in analog and digital duplication.
Here you can see a digital copy of my short dance phrase and then a copy of the avatar body rendered jointless next to the "original".
